disney channel!

time to rant.

i was in a musical mood today and although i love it more than tea itself, i have seen Across The Universe so many times i might puke if i see it again. (Dont worry, I'll be watching it again sooner than i think.) So, being the only musical IN OUR HOUSE, i was forced to watch High School Musical....2. It is so ridiculous and contrived...but addictive. I tore myself away from the tv long enough to realize that i was being sucked in. I wanted, for about five seconds to be a part of that tortuous movie. Mostly i just want to be thin enough to be considered. Well...

the disney channel is controlling the minds of little kids everywhere.. and im not some paranoid crazy just saying this. we WORSHIP these people...these tiny teeny boppers whose standard we can never live up to. you have to be born into and never have a childhood. who wants that life? i myself have not had a normal childhood for my own reasons..but thats beside the point..

anti-inspiration

A lot of people gotta die tonight... And yet we simply do not care. Maybe we would if we saw all the hurt and pain happening in the world. And it doesnt have to be in a third world country! We see destruction of lives happening everywhere! And I'm saying I'm better than you just because you dont see it and I have made myself aware of it... I am merely saying that we should take control of our lives and the world. And what excuse do we have not to? I need to take a break from my bitching. I should not write just to write.

opinions

It seems as though we blind ourselves with the glare of our tv screens. Instead of watching whats "happening" in the world, why dont we go out and find that out for ourselves? Wouldnt that be so much more interesting?
I can never finsish a book because I have little or no life experience. And i'm effing 16 years old! I should know lots by now. Not that i should know everything, but at least enough to know where I stand for the time being.
Last night a bunch of us were arguing about whether or not teeagers should have opinions. Of course the adults were saying that we know nothing and whatever our parents says goes. Bullshit. Of course we need to think. Where will the world be without controversy and dissent?
We would all die of boredom if no one said anything controversial. And where will we be if theres only one side? Whos to say who that side will be? WE WILL!! And why shouldnt we start to cultivate ourselves. And I'm not saying that MY way is the ONLY way. No. I'm saying my way is the only way for me. So if I want to read about AL Jazeera, communism, anarchy, abbie hoffman, and anti-flag, then i should be allowed. This IS America, right? If I am protected by the law I should at least have a choice. I'm not going to keep my mouth shut just because some old tired person wants me to calm the fuck down. No way. I'm not going anywhere, as much as they want me to. I'm not going to disappear and metaphorically duck tape my mouth shut just to be "respectful". Do you think that starting a revolution and running away from home and starting a new home is "respectful?" NO! And thats what the American Reolution was all about, right? And what has happened. My people have become apathetic. IIII have become apathetic. I do care about some things, as much as I deny it. I think I'l reasearch some things now. Thanks for reading, my lovelies.
